Something to do around Tiberias for the kids and chocolate lovers of all ages!

Okay, so as a follow-up to my last blog about the Leonardo Club Hotel in Tiberias. Here is a review of something very fun to do around Tiberias, in the lower Kinneret area, for once you’ve had enough sun, beach and pool.

Galita’s Chocolate Factory and Workshop

There is a small but very good chocolate factory in the Kibbutz Deganya Bet.  Aside from making some really great chocolates and other treats, they offer a really fun workshop for kids or adults to create and make some of your own chocolate concoctions.  You get to use the same chocolate and other ingredients to make your very own chocolate creations the Galita uses in her manufactured products.

Review: Leonardo Club Hotel, Tiberias.

On Yom Haatsmaut, Israel’s independence day, we travelled north to Tiberias with the kids (two boys aged 9 and 4) for a nice long weekend away from home. My wife made the arrangements and booked us into the Leonardo Club Hotel in Tiberias.

About the Leonardo Club Hotel Tiberias (LCH, T):

LCH, T is conveniently located in the middle of Tiberias.  It is literally a minutes walk from the promenade and the boardwalk of Tiberias.  The hotel is an all-inclusive resort style hotel and has 398 rooms available for guests.

There is an outdoor pool, heated and covered in the winter and has a small shallow toddler pool sectioned off from the main pool, perfect for the little ones.  We saw the spa and a games room for the kids set up with Sony PlayStation’s. In the evening there was live performance shows, free for all to watch, and definitely geared for family viewing. During the day there were activities – movies, shows etc. – for the kids as well.

Sandemans New Europe Jerusalem Walking Tour(s) Review

If I’m not mistaken, this is Matt from the Mt. Olives Tour that I took.

Over the Passover holidays I had made some time to visit Jerusalem as research for the http://www.Coming2Israel.com website.  I wanted to see the sites that would be of interest to tourists coming to Israel and specifically sites in Jerusalem to know more about them and see them for myself.  In some quick research that I did about tours in Israel and Jerusalem I came across the webpage of Sandemans New Europe Tours of Jerusalem.
